The collaboration supported the project for the creation of a women's cooperative in Kinshasa.

Rotary Club members are committed to: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing water and sanitation, protecting mothers and children, supporting education, developing local economies.
The general objective of the collaboration is to contribute to the reduction of social disparities in Kinshasa thanks to a program of development of the educational and training system that could increase the number of people educated and able to work in Limete, with particular attention to the poorest categories and the problem of child labor.

After two months of lockdown due to COVID19, we have moved on to the reopening phase and, as in the rest of the world, procedures have been defined. Among the various indications (mask and gloves, distancing and barriers), the Government has asked for the sanitization of work or study environments, also requiring compliance with international standards.

The project, therefore, plans to implement the cooperative’s services in order to respond effectively and promptly to the country’s needs.
The women’s cooperative that was created, in addition to anti-covid 19 sanitisation, is also equipped for other types of intervention, especially external, aimed at combating other much more serious pathologies which claim thousands of victims in the DRC every year.
The Rotary Club contributed to the renovation of the working environment, the purchase of furniture, means of transport for the cooperative, training manuals, outdoor electric sanitizers, material and protective devices (overalls, gloves and masks).
